Ingredients
Beef Broth 2 cups
Canned Tomatoes 1 can (14 oz)
Cumin 1 tsp
Garlic 3 cloves, minced
Ground Turkey 1 lb
Lentils 1 cup, rinsed
Olive Oil 1 tbsp
Onion 1 medium, diced
Paprika 1½ tsp
Pepper ½ tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Worcestershire Sauce 1 tbsp
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned and no pink remains.
  4. Stir in the paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper, coating the meat evenly and cooking the spices for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, canned tomatoes (with their juices), beef broth, and rinsed lentils. Stir everything together to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover the skillet and simmer for 20-22 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid.
  7. Uncover and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to thicken the sauce to your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
