Ingredients
Baking Powder 1/2 tsp
Butter 6 tbsp, cubed
Chocolate Chips 1 cup
Cocoa Powder 3 tbsp
Eggs 2 large
Flour 1/2 cup
Milk 2 tbsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Sugar 3/4 cup
Vanilla Extract 1 1/2 tsp
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place a 10-inch oven-safe skillet over low heat on the stovetop.
  2. Add the butter and half the chocolate chips (1/2 cup) to the skillet. Stir gently until completely melted and smooth, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
  5. Sift in the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder directly into the skillet. Fold with a spatula until just combined — do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  7. Smooth the batter into an even layer in the skillet with the spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes, until the edges are set and the center has just a slight jiggle. A toothpick inserted 1 inch from the edge should come out mostly clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the skillet rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Serve warm directly from the skillet.
